Introduction
There are multiple ways to start a quote for your guests:
- Quotes section of your dashboard: + New Quote
- Calendar: Click and drag across desired dates
- Vehicle: + New Quote
- Customer: + New Quote
- Quick Add (upper right corner of your wheelbase dashboard): New Quote
Quote Tabs & Status
Under the Quotes section of your dashboard the following tabs are visible:
New & Pending:
This is where quotes that are completed/finalized by guests appear. Any quotes that you have manually sent (in 'Draft' status) will also reflect here. New & Pending Quotes will move to 'Expired & Rejected' when:
- 'competing' booking is confirmed
- trip start start date has passed
Expired & Rejected
This is where quotes you have declined as well as quotes that have expired are shown. Below are the reasons a quote will reflect expired status:
- no response to guest within 24 hours
- 'competing' booking is confirmed
- trip start start date has passed
Abandoned Checkouts
An abandoned checkout occurs when a potential guest has gone to your website and started the process of booking a reservation (selected a unit, dates, and clicked the 1st "NEXT" button) but did not complete the booking checkout flow to fully reserve a unit (answer questions, input CC Information, etc).
Note: If you have Instabook turned off you have the option to 'Send Quote' to guest, after which it will reflect in 'New & Pending'
Pro Tip: Having the 'Checkout Abandoned' Email Notification enabled with engaging/persuasive content is a great way to nudge guests who have started but not yet confirmed a reservation.
Pro Tip #2: Be proactive—check the 'Abandoned Checkouts' tab in the Quotes menu periodically to reach out directly & increase conversion.
Pro Tip #3: Offer Incentive, Try including a discount code in one of your 'Abandoned Checkout' emails as a last-ditch effort to gain the customer's business!
INSTAmatch
INSTAmatch is, short and simple, a sales lead generator. Outdoorsy connects you with guests searching for a similar RV in your area, but have not yet found one. INSTAmatch looks at a guest’s initial RV rental request (be that a Class A, Class B, Class C, travel trailer, campervan, etc.) and matches their trip dates with hosts who have similar, available options in their search area. The goal: To connect guests with an RV that fits their needs—fast.
