Introduction
If a guest reaches out to you to cancel their reservation, follow the steps below to cancel the booking from your Wheelbase dashboard.
Cancel Reservation Steps
- Navigate to the reservation you wish to cancel.
- Click Cancel Reservation in the top-right corner.
- Review your cancellation policy for the reservation.
- Decide if you’d like to process a refund alongside the cancellation. Note: If you cancel an Outdoorsy reservation for any reason, the full refund will be automatically processed to the guest. For your direct guests, you can choose from: Full refund, Partial refund, or No refund.
- Enter the refund amount, if applicable.
- If you would like to keep the funds but give the guest a credit for their next booking, you can give a credit to the guest by using the refund with a credit option.
- You can include a message to the guest or choose not to notify them by deselecting the checkbox.
- Select a reason for the cancellation from the dropdown menu.
- Click Cancel Reservation to complete the process.
Note: When canceling a reservation, protection packages and any coverage or roadside assistance for the full trip duration will be nullified.
Bring back a cancelled reservation
Cancelled, expired, or declined reservations will have a red status bar across the top. Once this has occurred, it is not possible to reinstate or bring back this reservation. If your guest still wishes to rent the unit, the best course of action is to create a new reservation.
