Introduction
As an international company, Outdoorsy allows customers outside the U.S. to rent vehicles listed on the website. If a customer outside the U.S. chooses to rent a listed vehicle, they may be subject to our international transaction fee if the customer uses a payment card issued outside the U.S.
If an international transaction fee applies, the guest will see the following message during the booking flow:
"You will be charged in this listing's local currency. A foreign exchange rate and fees may be applied by your card issuer at the time of billing."
The international transaction fee is always 3% of the payment being processed. This charge occurs with both the reservation deposit and the reservation remainder.
This is not refundable if the charge is refunded.
Any amount claimed, or charged, from the security deposit will be subject to an international transaction fee, if applicable.
