This guide will help you understand your customer's online booking experience. The Reservation checkout flow has a direct impact on conversion rates, customer experience, and the profit driven by your business.
*Premium Services described below are always available for all renter leads from www.outdoorsy.com. Reservations booked directly from your website or dashboard can toggle services on/off.
Customers enter the Checkout Flow as they click Reserve Now on your website on the iframe. A clear understanding of this guide will help you support your guests.
We will go through each page step by step:
Pick Up & Drop Off + Checkout Questions
Checkout Questions will appear on the bottom half of the first page. These questions help collect guest information before submitting their booking request (age, tow vehicle capacity, delivery location)
Add-ons + Delivery selection
Add-Ons can be added as optional line items to the reservations. The guest just selects them from a list and hits the Add to Cart button
On this page guest can also choose if they want to add delivery to their reservation if you offer delivery. If you don't offer delivery this will not be on you checkout.
Selecting protection packages
These selections apply to your direct guests only. Any guests who come through Outdoorsy will get Outdoorsy protection automatically.
If your account is enabled for Wheelbase coverage, the guest will get offered a choice of packages. once they select the right package for them a driver information will pop up to check that the guest is over 25 years. All drivers must be at least 25 years of age and pass the driver verification which we run in the backend.
In this section, the guest will add their preferred payment method and details. This is also where guests can add a discount code.
Premium Service options
After the payment page the guest will have the option to add additional coverage to their trip. If they select a service it will prompt the guest to add their address which is needed to generate a coverage membership ID. The total amount of the coverage for the booking dates selected will get displayed to the guest.

Booking Summary + Electronic Signatures
From booking summary the guest can also navigate to their gust dashboard, where they can manage the booking moving forward. They can add a driver, make a payment, leave a review or view their reservation documents on this page.
