The Electronic Signature streamlines your business by enabling your renters to sign contracts digitally. Once enabled under Premium Services, your customers will be prompted to sign, initial, date, or checkbox your rental documents such as the Reservation Receipt and even your own Rental Agreement.
How do I set it up?
- Turn On Electronic Signatures within Premium Services and save changes.
- Navigate to Policies and Documents to upload your Rental Agreement as a PDF, and check the box to Include in eSign Document and save changes.
- Your document will be added to any future reservations and your guests will be prompted to add their signature.
How do text tags work?
Text tags (e.g., [sig|req|signer1]) are blocks of text that you add to your documents from your word editor, and they're turned into actionable items within the electronic signature process. You can now prompt guests to sign, initial, date, and 'check off' to better serve any signature requirements. For a full list of text tags, scroll to the bottom of this page.
What does my customer experience?
Customers are prompted right after their booking is confirmed to review and sign documents.
- We'll automatically send an email reminder to review and sign 7 days prior to departure.
- You'll see the status of that reservation's signature on the Reservation Page in Wheelbase.
- Not Completed or Completed, with the ability to send a reminder email by clicking 'Send Reminder'
What does it cost?
The current rate is $1 per signature in your respective currency (1 USD, 1 CAD, 1 GBP, 1 AUD, 1 EUR).
The cost is deducted from the reservation’s deposit as a Wheelbase Fee Payment and is reflected in the Transactions Log.
If a reservation is edited after the guest has signed the initial document, you can regenerate the documents for the guest to sign the updated version. Please note, this will count as an additional signature and incur an additional $1 fee.
