Introduction
It’s always a good rule of thumb to use a safety-first approach, and that’s why all states require seat belts for all passengers either sitting upfront or throughout the cabin. The Outdoorsy terms and conditions state the following:
"Guests are required to wear seat belts during the operation of the Vehicle and to require that all of their passengers wear seat belts. Guests are also required to meet any laws or regulations concerning child safety seats and other protections for children. Guests must not leave the Vehicle unlocked or with the keys unsecured (such as in the ignition). Guests must not engage in any prohibited uses with any Booked Vehicle.
"Guests acknowledge that the vehicles may be very large and handle differently from passenger cars and other vehicles. The vehicle requires more skill and expertise to operate safely than a car rental. The vehicle requires more clearance above, in front of, behind, and beside them to operate safely, and the use of mirrors and direct visual verification are always required to maintain knowledge of the location of adjacent vehicles and obstacles on the roadway. Due to size and handling characteristics, the vehicle shall never be operated at speeds over 55 miles per hour regardless of the posted speed limit."
"The guest acknowledges that Outdoorsy has no control over the number of passengers a guest may allow into the vehicle or the conduct of those occupants while the vehicle is being operated. Therefore, the guest acknowledges that the guest, and not Outdoorsy or the host, is solely responsible for the passengers on board the vehicle as well as the conduct of those passengers. The guest agrees that, before inviting passengers or other guests into the vehicle, they will inform all passengers or other guests that the guest is solely responsible for such passenger’s or guest’s safety and that Outdoorsy disclaims any such responsibility.“
As our terms and conditions are linked to our protection package requirements, all drivers and passengers are required to use seatbelts while the vehicle is in motion. Your coverage may be denied or adversely impacted as a guest if you, or any of your passengers, do not use seat belts.
