In this morning's webinar we kicked off with the notion of 'retrofitting' your business now that Summer is officially over.
Have you taken the time to review your pricing/rules to ensure everything is on point/up to date/in line with the season?
It's imperative in this demand constrained environment that you are doing all of the things to ensure potential guests are choosing you over the competition.
Name Changes (no longer able to 'change renter' for Outdoorsy bookings)
If the original guest who booked/confirmed is no longer 'primary' it is now required to cancel & rebook. This is to ensure continuity and alignment through the booking process from a to z.
Security Deposit (refresher)
Just a reminder that a security deposit placed on hold for a 'direct' booking will authorize indefinitely until you either claim or release. Conversely, for Outdoorsy bookings 'held' security deposits are released after 30 days.
Best practice is to set your security deposit to match (or slightly exceed) applicable deductible for that vehicle. For more details, click here to review updated article.
Importance of Check Out & Check In
Every reservation must be checked out on the heels of handing keys over to a verified driver, as well as checked back in upon return. Not following these steps poses system issues, including insurance coverage confusion and payout/refund issues.
Keeping on top of this also ensures statuses are categorized correctly on your reservation
