Hello! We’ve been paying close attention to your feedback and are excited to share the latest updates to Wheelbase. This month, we’re introducing features and improvements designed to make managing your RV fleet more seamless and efficient.
✍️ Enhancements for Electronic Signatures
We’re excited to announce expanded functionality for Electronic Signatures, allowing you to capture multiple signatures, initials, dates, and checkboxes directly on your documents using Text Tags. Previously, this feature was limited to a single signature applied only to the Reservation Receipt, leaving some key documents unsigned or overlooked.
How does it work?
- Open your document in your preferred editor and place Text Tags (e.g., [sig|req|signer1]) where you want customers to sign, date, check, or initial.
- Save the updated document as a PDF and upload it to the Policies & Documents section in Wheelbase.
- Make sure to check the ‘Include in eSign document’ option.
Once this is set up, customers can sign your contracts seamlessly, with all required signatures, initials, dates, or checkboxes added to the document. Signed files are automatically stored in the reservation page for easy access.
📱 Mobile Web Enhancements
We’ve made our core pages more mobile friendly: Calendar, Reservations, Messages, Quotes, Reservations, & Customers. In addition, buttons are now nested in menus.

🗓️ Calendar Functionality
The Calendar now displays any Notes on Reservations, similar to how Unavailable blocks have displayed a reason. We’ve seen you using Notes as reminders or ways to surface customized information around delivery drivers, pickup & return changes, and more. Keep in mind that these Reservation Notes are not customer facing.
In addition, we’ve expanded the drag & drop functionality so you can now move a Reservation overlapping an existing Quote. This will not automatically expire the Quote you’re overlapping, so you’ll need to make further adjustments to ensure that potential customers have a suitable vehicle. Here is a quick visual of how this works.
🚐 Improved Pickup and Return Time Selection
We’ve addressed feedback about multiple reservations defaulting to the same pickup and return times, creating operational challenges. Previously, your default selection was prefilled during the customer’s checkout, which often led to overlaps.
Now, you can disable the prefilled time in your settings, requiring customers to select their own pickup and return times. While some customers may still choose similar times, this change introduces more natural variation to help streamline your scheduling.

- An Unread filter in the Inbox for easier message management.
- Year, Make, Model, and VIN details to Insurance Cards attached to receipts.

- An issue where messages sent with a receipt were not saved in the Inbox.
- Formatting of international phone numbers on receipts.
- Delivery address appearing in both address lines.
- Text wrapping on the Reservation Page for Protection Packages.
- Incorrect Protection Package trip totals in Checkout.
- Customer phone numbers not being required during Checkout.
- Messages inadvertently appearing as Unread.
- Saving and displaying Vehicle Internal IDs on the Vehicle List and Calendar.
- Multiple Protection Packages appearing in quotes for Outdoorsy guests.
- Deductible amounts incorrectly displayed on the Customer’s reservation details page.
- An issue on Outdoorsy.com that prevented customers from answering some checkout questions.
- Formatting in the Rental Prep Report, which is now ordered by day and time.
